What is hydraulics?

Hydraulics is the controlled transfer, storage and regulation of energy using fluid. With the help of motors, pumps, hoses and valves, large power and torque changes can be obtained with high precision and efficiency.
The essential idea behind all hydraulic systems is that force anchored at one point is transferred to another point, using incompressible fluid. The liquid is usually oil and the force is usually multiplied in the process.
The use of hydraulics takes place in mechanization and automation of production facilities and machines. In addition, there are a number of mobile applications in, for example, tractors, excavators and trucks.
The hydraulics can create strong benefits for applications through increased safety, quality, reliability and precision as well as cost efficiency.
