Pheenix Alpha and WTB Control – 20 years of close collaboration

Pheenix Alpha is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of vinyl presses. Most of the company’s presses are exported and customers include, for example, Sony Music Entertainment, one of the world’s largest record companies. Together with WTB Control, Pheenix Alpha has a collaboration that stretches back 20 years.

Pheenix Alpha was founded in 2006 by former employees of Toolex Alpha, a company with a history dating back to 1932. Today, Pheenix Alpha has around 25 employees in Stockholm and offers automatic pressing machines for vinyl records. Customers include companies all over the world, ranging from small players to established large companies such as Sony Music Entertainment.

The collaboration between Pheenix Alpha and WTB Control extends until the beginning of the 2000s, even before the company was in its current form. It was with the predecessor Toolex Alpha that the collaboration began about 20 years ago. Today, WTB Control delivers pump systems, valves and valve blocks to the hydraulic press machine.

“With WTB Control, there is a personal contact, something that is crucial to us”

Niklas Poblenz, CEO of Pheenix Alpha, is one of the company’s founders who also worked for the predecessor Toolex Alpha. He describes the collaboration with WTB Control as close and well-functioning:

– We have a close and good collaboration with WTB Control. There is a personal contact, something that is crucial to us as we are sometimes subject to rapid changes. We specify what we want to achieve and WTB Control provides a solution that is suitable to our needs.

Pheenix Alpha is now in a period of strong growth, as there is an increased demand for vinyl records all over the world. The growth rate for the entire industry is on a steady rise and as the company has established itself as one of the major players, the demand for their vinyl presses is high.

– The rapidly increasing demand puts both us and WTB Control to the test, volumes will continue to increase. But it is a challenge I am sure we will be able to handle in a good way, much thanks to our close collaboration, Niklas concludes.
